RULES & PARAMETERS

Who is Eligible: Any GALLOWAY MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT attending Galloway Middle School, Absegami, A.C.I.T., Cedar Creek, Holy Spirit or Pleasantville.

Important dates:

  • Last date for submission of entries: OCTOBER 29, 2021
  • Announcement of winners: NOVEMBER 17, 2021

Contest Parameters: Submit a video focused on the NEW PLASTIC POLLUTION REDUCTION ACT set to take effect May, 2022 . (See attached FACT SHEET.) The video may be UP TO 3 MINUTES LONG. Entries should be creative, artistic, effective and inspirational. Entries should address the particular issues related to the onset of the NJ PLASTIC POLLUTION REDUCTION ACT. If you choose, you may include personal narrative elements. Videos may be submitted either by an individual student or by a team of up to four members. Names of ALL who contributed to the effort must be included in the submission. All team members must be residents of Galloway. Bilingual and/or non – English submissions are welcome.

Prizes: One $250 prize will be awarded to the best video, one $100 prize will be awarded to the second place winner, and one $50 prize will be awarded to the third place winner. Other notable entries will be acknowledged with Honorable Mentions. All qualified submissions will be acknowledged. If the winning video is submitted by a team, the prize will go to the team as a group. Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony in EARLY DECEMBER.

Submission of Entries: Video submissions can be sent via a Google Drive link. Upload the file to your Google Drive and email the share link to us at gogreengalloway12@gmail.com. The email MUST contain the following information for ALL MEMBERS OF THE TEAM: Name, Age, Parental Permission, Grade, and School. Contest Results Winners and Honorable Mentions will be announced on Wednesday, November 17th and the winning entries will be posted on the Go Green Galloway Website and shared on social media. Press releases will go to local newspapers.
